Bihar CM urges businesses to set up industries in state

Assuring all possible help, Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar recently urged the business class to set up industries in Bihar to create more jobs for returning migrants workers. The state has tremendous scope for industries related to fabrics, tasar silk, shoes, leather, bag, furniture and cycle and has a big market as well, he told migrant workers.

The chief minister was interacting with migrant workers through video conferencing.

He said Bhagalpur and Munger districts have unlimited scope for fabric, especially silk-related industry and asked the industries department officials to identify the potential of the silk sector and take further action for setting up such industries, according to a news agency report.

More than 10.56 lakh migrant people are currently spending their 14-day quarantine period at quarantine centres across the state.
