China's exports of gray silk fabrics dip

China's exports of gray silk fabrics dipped 17.56 percent year-on-year to 98.29 million metres during the first seven months of the current year, according to statistics from China Customs.

However, the value of exports of gray silk fabrics increased 18.32 percent year-on-year to US$ 436 million. Average unit price rose by 43.53 percent to US$ 4.44/metre.

Gray silk exports accounted for 20.92 percent of the overall China's silk item exports.
