China's silk commodity exports fall in volumes

China's exports of silk commodities fell in volumes but rose in value.

Volume of silk commodity exports reached 12,800 tons from January to September this year, representing a decline of 9.55 percent year on year.

Export value registered US $536 million, showing an increase of 19.45 percent year on year.

Average unit price of silk commodities marked US $41.90 / kg, reflecting a rise of 32.07 percent year on year.

Shipments of silk commodities accounted for 20.08 percent of total exports of real silk merchandise over the same time.
