Silk export from Zhejiang reduces

Demand of high quality silk is rising in international market and so is the quality of Zhejiang silk; however the silk of Zhejiang is available at higher prices.

It is reported in this first season, the quantity of Zhejiang silk export reduced about 30 percent to 10 million meters; but the export unit price was about US $3.24 per meter, which was higher than before.

The local government pointed out that all manufacturers should raise the quantity of silk export disregarding the rising prices.
