Agency Public Relations revealed that a hectare of land has been provided to build a silk processing facility in the city of Kombolcha.
The Amhara State Micro and Small-scale Trade and Industry Promotion Agency is all set to establish this plant as soon as possible and will be a part of the Government's silk promotion campaign.
Agency has also decided to grant a loan of around Br19.2 million with the aid from several financial institutions.
This will be a major step in the advancement of technology and 640 silk suppliers businesses in the woredas are expected to profit by delivering silk to the factory.
