Dozens of workers are giving finishing touches to kiswa before the start of hajj pilgrimage in few days.

The kiswa, an embroidered black cloth that will cover the Kaaba, is woven from silk and cotton with verses from the Koran embroidered in gold.

Every year, about 200 workers at a factory in Saudi Arabia weave new Kiswa to be placed on the Kaaba during the hajj.

In past, kiswa used to be in red, green or white and used to be made outside Saudi Arabia.

The silk used in kiswa is imported and its embroidery and stitching is done in Saudi Arabia.
