Guangdong Province in China is very well known for its specialization in gambiered silk clothes. However, it is a known fact that the industrial standards for the silk apparels have not been sufficiently developed.
Discussions on setting up of national standards for gambiered Guangdong silk took place in Shenzhen city.
The meeting was attended by experts from Chinese Clothes Standards Technology Committee, Quality Inspection and Control Center of Chinese Textile and Clothing, and the Computation Quality Inspection Academy of Shenzhen city.
Various aspects like special dialects, technique indexes, technique data's requirement and content were discussed threadbare. Besides, during the meet, it was also decided to gather opinions of silk producers regarding the prevailing quality standards.
