Output of silk grows in double digits

According to the Data Analysis of Statistics Center of China Textile Industry Association, as of July 2009, national total output of raw silk recorded 96,305 tons, an increase of 14.26 percent year on year.

Raw silk production of Jiangsu, Sichuan, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Anhui and Chongqing together accounted for 87.20 percent of national output.

Among them, raw silk output of Jiangsu Province reached 33,322 tons, an increase of 7.40 percent year on year, accounting for 34.60 percent of national output.

It is noteworthy that growth in Anhui, Liaoning, Shanxi was faster, of which growth in Anhui realized 119.86 percent.
