China exported 78.12 million sets of silk garment in 2010, down 10.98 percent year on year. Export value registered US $1.112 billion, down 3.72 percent year on year at an average unit price of $14.24 / set, up 8.15 percent year on year.

Among major export markets, China exported 33.51 million sets to the United States in 2010, down 11.56 percent year on year; export value reached $459 million, down 3.57 percent at an average unit price of $13.69 / set, a rise of 9.04 percent.

China exported 9.55 million sets to Hong Kong in 2010, down 6.47 percent year on year; export value realized $108 million, an increase of 4.2 percent year on year and average unit price was $11.28 / set/ piece, a growth of 11.41 percent.

China exported 5.11 million sets to the UK in 2010, amounting to $70.60 million, down 16.27 percent and 18.91 percent, respectively. Average unit price was US $13.81 / set, down 3.16 percent. It was the only market which suffered price decline among major markets.

China exported 4.92 million sets to Japan in 2010, export value totaling to $94.92 million, down 14.07 percent and 5.39 percent, respectively at an average unit price of $19.3 / set, up 10.11 percent year on year to score the highest average price among major markets.

China exported 4.38 million sets to Italy in 2010, down 13.07 percent and export value reached to $79.92 million, up 3.12 percent year on year. Average unit price was $18.25 / set, up 18.63 percent.
