BASF is increasing prices on its commodity amines portfolio in Europe by up to 30%, with certain products subject to higher increase, effective immediately or as existing contracts permit. This portfolio comprises Ethanolamines, Ethyleneamines, Isopropanolamines, Methylamines, N,N-Dimethylethanolamine, (DMEOA), 3-(Dimethylamino) propylamine (DMAPA), Dimethylformamide (DMF), Propylamines and Ethylamines.These price increases are in response to the substantial increases in raw material prices, energy and logistic costs due to the military conflict in the Middle East.
Econic Technologies and Changhua Chemical have launched the world's first commercial-scale plant producing polycarbonate ether (PCE) polyols made using captured CO₂.
Located in Lianyungang, the facility will produce 80,000 tons of Carnol polyols in 2026, offering up to 30 per cent lower carbon footprint while delivering improved performance in polyurethane applications.
