Japan's UBE expands U-BE-INFINITY line with green materials

UBE Corporation (President: Yuki Nishida; Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter, “UBE”) announced today that it has certified its two newly certified the following products as the U-BE-INFINITY environmentally friendly products brand.

  • Bio-circular caprolactam manufactured and sold by UBE Corporation Europe S.A.U.
  • Recycled composite nylon (DINALON A2X25-MI H-4109 [polyamide 66], B2E25 G20DI-4115 [polyamide 6]) manufactured and sold by UBE Composites Europe S.L.U.

The U-BE-INFINITY brand is given to products under development, products developed by the UBE Group that demonstrate particularly outstanding positive environmental impacts, thereby enhancing the added value of the relevant products under development, products. UBE seeks to help solve global environmental issues with U-BE-INFINITY brand products.

The newly developed products, products certified this time

1. Bio-circular caprolactam

This caprolactam is produced using biomass and other raw materials through the mass balance method, certified by ISCC PLUS. It is manufactured with consideration for the procurement of raw materials, already has a sales result in the market. Through the supply of this product to the market, UBE Corporation contributes to the promotion of a circular economy and decarbonization.

2. Recycled composite nylon

UBE Composites Europe S.L.U. manufactures a wide range of engineering plastics. The two products newly certified under U-BE-INFINITY are PIR-based Recycled Composites Nylon. These products use recycled materials and certified by AENOR under the UNE-EN153433 standard, which verifies the recycled content from raw materials through to the final product.
