Technical textiles specialist Arville has adopted energy efficient Atlas Copco air compressors to help power the textiles machinery at the Yorkshire weaving plant. These compressor systems will help achieve 70 per cent reduced energy consumption when compares to its previous predecessor. This state-of-the-art technology is also compact in its design.

These environmentally-friendly systems have an innovative variable speed drive that automatically adjusts to suit the air demand, with no idling time or blow off losses during operation. The efficient series of fan motors also help to reduce background noise levels in the factory for the benefit and wellbeing of workers in high risk areas.

The compressor is the latest in a series of energy-efficient investments for Arville, following on from the £1m upgrade at the coating plant in Bury, Lancashire.

Based on energy savings alone, the compressors will have a payback period of only 15 months from installation. But the compressor's performance is equally as impressive as its environmental robustness. Manufactured by a company specialising in this niche field of engineering, the compressors deliver clean, dry air that reliably ensures impressive uptime and, therefore, uninterrupted operation of the weaving plant, especially important during busy production schedules.
