Under the MoU, Eurofins S&L and Tailorlux will co-operate on digital fibre verification in response to the rising consciousness of brands, retailers, suppliers and consumers in identifying and tracing the sources of materials, as well as end products, with a special focus on recycled materials, the two entities said in a joint media release.
Textile and footwear buyers and suppliers can leverage Tailorlux’s cutting-edge system that can trace and verify the recycled content of a textile or footwear product tracked with the polymer or viscose marker fibre from Tailorlux.
The online verification and machine-to-machine elements pave the way for innovative solutions for the textile and footwear industry. As the industry is keen to examine the environmental impact of the entire supply chain, being able to accurately trace the lifecycle of materials and products is essential to offer maximum clarity. The technology also promotes greater brand protection and product authenticity.
With Eurofins S&L’s global laboratory coverage, Tailorlux technology users can deliver their samples easily to the Eurofins laboratories for validation and further testing to obtain data for quantification.
