Italian company Fulgar has launched Q-Nova Melange Recycled, a fibre created by blending Q-Nova, a nylon 6.6 fibre created using regenerated raw materials, with polyester produced entirely from reused plastic bottles.

The nylon yarn maker said its Jaspé and Pulsar effects, adapt perfectly to the new textile technology, presenting the opportunity to develop multicolour fabrics through a single controlled, continuous one-step process in the dyeing stage.

“With Jaspe, the line is short and regular, while with Pulsar, the melange feature is longer, with a more pronounced shot effect, thereby creating bi-colour effects on a perfectly uniform neutral base” the company added.

According to Fulgar, Q-Nova mélange yarn boasts excellent moisture control and garments made with these yarns are easy to look after, quick to dry and do not require ironing.

“Q-Nova mélange has been designed to give the best possible dyeing quality and so fabrics and items of clothing made from Q-Nova mélange are as robust as those made from virgin polyamide,” it informed. (AR)
