The award, issued to commemorate the 10th anniversary of VONIX, was received by Thomas Riegler, the chief financial officer (CFO) of Lenzing AG. The company has been represented at VONIX for the last ten years, right since the inception of the index because of its sustainability initiatives.
Speaking on the occasion, Riegler said, “Sustainability is a corporate value embedded in our strategy. Environmentally compatible processes, the use of wood as a sustainable raw material and the focus on sustainable product development in our innovations make Lenzing a viable, future-oriented company.”
“Sustainability is one of the biggest challenges for the fibre industry, and Lenzing is optimally equipped to meet this challenge,” he added. (MCJ)
