Testex seminar on sustainability in textile production

Mr. Adrian Meili (TESTEX AG) started with high performance/function certifications with UV Standard 801 and for PPE, followed by Mr. Hongky Kouw (Archroma Singapore Pte. Ltd), who referred to the latest innovation of high performance and function of dyes and chemicals, Mr. Birendranath Bandyopadhyay (Head Plant of Indorama Synthetics Tbk) on Per-fomax brand for high function fabrics and Mr. Kunto Antariksa, Quality and Production Senior Manager, Amer Sport Sourcing Ltd, who presented high performance/function on outdoor apparel.

The last session was a research presentation by Mrs. Ida Nuramdhani, S.Sit Msc, lecturer and researcher from School of Textile Technology, Bandung, about photo catalytic dye degradation by TiO2. With the low cost material, TiO2 can react quickly under mild condition and converts wide range of organic contaminants to water and CO2.

Reviewing the number of participants, the audience enthusiasm during the Q&A session and the many posi-tive comments from the speakers, this seminar named "Sustainable Production & High Performance Textile” delivered successfully deep and useful information for the textile industry in Indonesia. Participants like e.g. Nike Indonesia would welcome regular newsletter with update on innovation and sustainable production and were impressed about the useful presentations.
