Italian knitting yarn producer Filpucci will introduce its first exclusive range of eco friendly cashmere yarns made from Re.Verso recycled fibres at Pitti Flati show, which runs from July 1-3, 2015.

“The sustainably produced and eco-friendly cashmere yarns branded under the name of Ninetyfive is suitable for cashmere knitwear,” a Filpucci press release informed.

Ninetyfive yarn is manufactured from Re.Verso fibres which in turn are produced from pre-consumer waste and also cuts and pieces of fabrics procured from fashion houses and apparel factories.

These are recycled in to fibres by Re.Verso by employing sustainable means of production, which makes these fibres eco-friendly.

The material selection and gathering process at Re.Verso is based on a no-waste principle and a transparent and traceable chain.

“The recycling of waste allows us to optimise and reuse even the finest material and ease the pressing problem of disposal and the excessive consumption of fibres,” Filpucci said.

“As a result, Ninetyfive yarns fall within the range of premium-quality and clean products that are doubly appealing to the high-end fashion market and also responsible consumers,” Filpucci explained.

Founded in 1967 and headquartered in Prato, Italy Filpucci is a producer of creative high-end knitting yarns. (AR)
