Zoe Moda becomes the first Colombian apparel maker to implement Shopfloor's Eye shop floor control solution at its Medellin facility.

The Shopfloor Eye is a real-time system with an android app running on wireless tablets and cloud technologies of Method Workshop, a developer of costing product solutions, for managing activities on the production floor of a manufacturing unit.

The tablets are used to scan QR codes attached to bundles of garments as workers progress through the production process. The system wirelessly captures and reports on the location of each order and calculates the productivity and efficiency of individuals and teams.

Zoe Moda's sewing operators get real-time feedback on their performance, while supervisors and management gain visibility into production line balance, quality issues, off-standard events and more.

“It took only about 10 days to install and train everyone on the new system. The tablets are very easy to learn. We are very pleased that we can now easily measure individual and team efficiency, while better controlling production, quality, downtime and all of our operations. We have already increased production efficiency by 20 per cent in just the first month,” said Sebastian Lopez, co-owner, Zoe Moda. (HO)
