Clothing sizes are not standardised, making online shopping tough for consumers--even for the brands they know and love. Many people order multiple sizes at once, and return the sizes that do not fit, in a costly and wasteful workaround. Others are unable, or cannot be bothered to, deal with the cumbersome return process, and end up with a closet of unworn clothing that does not fit.

The app makes it easy to set up a profile with height, weight, and other stats, allowing people to search for peer models with similar body types. By getting the right-size clothing and footwear to the right people, PeerModel helps likeminded fashion buyers connect while also reducing online returns.
In addition to its goal of reducing textile and shipping waste, PeerModel also offers a way for people to generate income from clothes that would otherwise sit idly in the closet. The app includes a worldwide marketplace where fashion buyers and sellers can offer unwanted clothing items for sale locally, instead of returning the items to a retailer. The transaction and arrangements take place offline, and the app does not charge any fees.
