Growth for US speciality chemicals manufacturer Bolger & O'Hearn will come from its latest developments of more sustainable chemistries, including non-formaldehyde acrylic resins, fluorine-free water repellents, and its recent association with Dutch multinational DSM’s textile polymer portfolio, according to the company’s marketing director Shawn Honeycutt.

The company recently teamed up with DSM to support its North American textile polymer portfolio. It is helping to bring recent DSM sustainable chemistries, including Nmp-free and co-solvent-free water-based polyurethane dispersions, to the market. It is also providing market feedback and analysis to DSM to help it drive innovation in the textile market areas, Honeycutt told Fibre2Fashion in an interview. (DS)
