MagnaColours has announced that two of its high-quality discharge ranges are now certified to ZDHC Confidence Level 1. This means under independent testing they meet the strict requirements of ZDHC’s MRSL (Manufacturing Restricted Substances List). MagnaColours, based in England, manufactures PVC-free water-based inks for screen-printing of textiles.

MagnaPrint Discharge AB AW is a conventional ZFS based discharge system. It gives excellent results, brilliant colour development, and a very soft handle on dischargeable fabrics. MagnaPrint Discharge ULF is our award-winning formaldehyde-free discharge system, which offers vibrant colours and a super soft hand-feel on dischargeable fabrics, MagnaColours said.

Both the ULF and AB AW discharge systems work with MagnaMix, the ink mixing software and the highly concentrated eco-pigments, meaning we can mix thousands of colours and shades with ease. ZDHC aims to remove harmful chemicals from production and the supply chain to protect workers, consumers, and the environment. Through MagnaColours’ efforts, the company is reducing not only its chemical footprint and environmental impact, but the impact of its customers as well, MagnaColours said in a press release.

MagnaColours has been leading the charge in making the industry a better place to work for years. The company works hard to remove harmful chemicals and helps printers utilise more environmentally friendly inks. The company continues to ensure that its products are safer and better for the environment, printers, and end-users.
