Clariant, a world leader in speciality chemicals, has announced that Dr. Mathias Lütgendorf, member of the executive committee of Clariant, is set to quit from the committee.

He will leave Clariant by best mutual agreement as of December 31, 2015. His successor will be announced shortly.

Mathias Lütgendorf was appointed member of the executive committee in April 2009. His responsibilities include the business units that include additives, pigments, masterbatches, functional minerals, as well as group procurement, and operational excellence. In addition, he is responsible for the regions Europe, Middle East & Africa, and Japan, according to a press release.

Hariolf Kottmann, CEO said, “I want to sincerely thank Mathias Lütgendorf for his strong commitment and dedication during his more than six years with our company, in particular for his valuable contributions to the successful development of Clariant into a leading speciality chemicals company in recent years. To be emphasised are his achievements during the restructuring phase, as well as the divestment of the businesses textile, leather, and paper chemicals. I wish him all the best for his future.” (GK)
