In the week ending August 18, O-Xylene prices were assessed in the range of US $1310-1340 / ton (FOB Korea), up 1-2 percent from its previous week. In SE Asia too, O-Xylene prices showed similar trend as Korea in the last week.
In Europe as well, O-Xylene prices rose in the reporting week and stood around $1265 / ton, slightly up as compared to its previous week. Prices were stable at $1265 / ton (FOB Rotterdam) during the week.
According to experts, prices firmed due to gains in upstream product prices and reports of improvement in regional buying trends.
