Global O-Xylene prices remain stable in previous week

In Korea, O-Xylene prices remained unchanged last week ending November 24. Overall, market sentiment was dull and downstream demand was sluggish. Prices were assessed at US$ 1450/ton during the week, same as compared to the previous week.

In S.E. Asia, O-Xylene prices showed similar trend as Korea last week. In the early days of the week, O-Xylene prices were at US$ 1480/ton CFR S.E. Asia, same as compared to its previous week.

In Europe, O-Xylene prices showed similar trend as Asia in the reporting week, due to sluggish support from the downstream market. Downstream market sentiment was dull in the region. O-Xylene prices were assessed at US$ 1365/ton, same as compared to its previous week.

In US, contract prices of O-Xylene for November were fully settled at 63.75 cents/lb (US$ 1405/ton) lower by 3.25 cents/lb, as compared to last month’s contract prices of 67 cents/lb FOB US.
