Global Methanol market stays steady last week

In China, Methanol prices remained stable in the week ending December 1. There were dull market sentiments in the market. Methanol prices were spotted at US$ 355-360/ton CFR China.
 
In Korea, Methanol prices showed similar trend as China. Methanol prices were assessed in the range of US$ 370-375/ton FOB Korea.
 
Methanol prices in Japan too were stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 370-375/ton CFR Japan.
 
Methanol prices were steady in India due to balanced demand and supply conditions in the market and were marked at US$ 305/ton CFR India. 
 
In S.E. Asia, Methanol prices too were stable and were assessed at US$ 375-380/ton CFR S.E. Asia.
 
Asian contract prices posted by Methanex for Asia Pacific region were US$ 435/ton. Prices are valid for the month of December.
 
In Europe, Methanol prices showed similar trend as Asia due to sluggish downstream demand in the region. Bearish market sentiments in US also contributed toward the stable prices in Europe. Prices were assessed in the range of US$ 330-335/ton FOB Rotterdam.
 
In US, prices of Methanol were steady in the last week. Downstream demand was moderate in the region. Spot prices of Methanol were in the range of 125-130 (cents/gallon) FOB US.
