Toluene trends mixed in Asia, dips in Europe, stable in US

Toluene market displayed mixed trends in Asia, while it went down in Europe and stood steady in the US in the week ending January 26, 2013, when compared to its previous week.
 
In Korea, Toluene prices surged up last week due to higher upstream product prices and strong buying sentiments in the downstream market of the region. 
 
In the initial days of the week, prices were at US$ 1305/ton lower by US$ 15/ton, as compared to the same period of the previous week. However, during the week, spot prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1305-1330/ton (FOB Korea).
 
In Japan, Toluene prices showed similar trend as Korea. Prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1340-1350/ton (CFR Japan).
 
Toluene prices went down in S.E. Asia. In the initial days of the last week, prices were at US$ 1340/ton lower by US$ 20/ton, as compared to the same period of its previous week. During the week, prices were witnessed in the range of US$ 1340-1350/ton (CFR S.E. Asia).
 
In China, spot prices were assessed at US$ 1335-1360/ton CFR China. CFR India prices were assessed at US$ 1370/ton.
 
In Europe, Toluene prices showed downward trend. In the initial days of the reporting week, prices were spotted at US$ 1285/ton lower by US$ 10/ton, as compared to the same period of the previous week. During the week, prices were witnessed at US$ 1275-1285/ton (FOB Rotterdam). 
 
In US, Toluene prices were stable during the week and were assessed at 415-420 (cents/gallon) FOB US.
