Supported by the strong energy prices, benzene prices in Asia continued to rise today.
Trader offers are pegged at over US $800 per metric ton FOB Korea levels.
Firm downstream Styrene Monomer and global aromatics prices further back this hike.
Sources explained that since the markets in the West have remained strong, especially US benzene prices, offers in Asia are also climbing steadily.
They added that there is a spurt in demand for May shipments in Asia.
