Limited supply, growing demand and soaring feedstock costs are likely to cause price hike in polypropylene in the Middle East (ME).

Sabic and Petrochemical Industries Co (Kuwait) were pricing raffia and injection grade at $1300/ton for Middle East countries.

Saudi based Tasnee Petrochemical was offering the same grades at $1300/ton for Middle East countries and $1320/ton for Syria, Lebanon, and Iran.

There is limited quota of propylene feedstock in the Middle East, currently according to industry sources.
