Aquafil Engineering GmbH to set up tire cord project of Slovkord

Berlin based AQUAFIL ENGINEERING GmbH has won a contract to build a new PET plant for Slovkord a.s. (Slovak Republic) utilizing the Aquafil 2-Reactor Technology as the turn-key project for its production expansion.
The fiber will be used in tire cord production, a first for the Aquafil 2-Reactor Technology.
After installation of plants for film application the proven AQUAFIL 2-Reactor Polyester Technology is entering the tire cord business area.
The high polymer quality at lowest production and investment costs has convinced the company Slovkord a.s. (Slovak Republic) to order a polyester plant with the AQUAFIL 2-Reactor Technology as turn-key project for their new production expansion.
Slovkord a.s. is belonging to the Kord Group (Czech Republic) which is the biggest producer of cord textile in Europe. SLOVKORD is a company engaged in the production of polyester technical fibres (PES TV) for a wide range of applications.
KORD is continuing the successful long-term activities of KORDÁRNA in industrial fabric production.
Aquafil is one of the worldwide leading companies in technology and equipment design for polyamide and polyester polymer plants. Aquafil Engineering additionally offers the further processing of the polymers into fiber, film, technical and PET bottle applications.
