A massive dye production base has been set up at Chemical Industry Park in Nanjing city.

The production base is the largest 'dyehouse' in China built by the world's largest manufacturer of textile dyes and printing dope, German DyStar Company, with first phase investment of US $55 million.

The Base started construction in October 2004; the four production lines of the first phase have been completed and put into operation.

Cellulose fibers and fiber are used for the production of high-quality dyestuff, output will reach 23,000 tons. Technology and production scale all have reached the first class level in China.

Putting the project into production will greatly improve the level of development of Nan Jing's chemical industry in dyestuff, and it will effectively promote the development of China's textile industry.
