Modification of Noretyl ethylene plant

Grenland Group has signed a modification contract with Noretyl AS. The contract includes procurement of material and prefabrication of steel and pipe systems together with installation of process equipment and a large column.
Noretyl AS owns and operates the Ethylene plant (cracker) at Rafnes in Norway. The modification of the plant will increase the flexibility in production of liquid ethylene.

Grenland Group starts the project immediately and the fabrication and installation work will proceed to the end of August 2008. Piping and structural steel will be fabricated at Grenland Group's yards in Grenland. The project will employ about 30 persons in the workshops and at the Ethylene plant during the construction period. The contract has a value of approximately NOK 20-25 million in revenue to Grenland Group.

Noretyl AS and the process industry in the South East part of Norway have been important customers for Grenland Group for many years. The Company is satisfied to be a key contractor on this modification project at Noretyl.

Signing this contract confirms Grenland Group's position as a main modification contractor also to the landbased industry. Grenland Group has earlier this year signed modification contracts with the offshore industry, the largest is a modification contract with StatoilHydro at the Oseberg Feltsenter.
