DC Chemical Yeosu unit goes in for maintenance

DC Chemical, South Korea-based chemical industry pioneer, announced that its aromatics unit in Yeosu was closed down on November 7, 2008.

Confirming the news to Fibre2fashion, company source stressed that the facility was shutdown for month-long scheduled maintenance.

Reportedly, this DC Chemical aromatics unit has a benzene capacity of 150,000 metric tons per year.

Source stated that the unit is expected to re-start around December 10, and completely operational.
