Acetic acid market prices are moving upward as weekend was approaching. In East China, at the start of the previous week prices were at the level of 2650 – 2800 RMB/MT and after experiencing a upward trend, the market got gradually towards the weekend. Mainstream talks were reported at 2750 -2850 RMB/MT, and the offers from producers all hovered around 2900 RMB/MT. The number of earlier low price offers has declined.
In North China, the previous week started with mainstream prices at 2650 – 2750 RMB/MT level and gradually rose to 2700 – 2800 RMB/MT, but downstream users remained rational, and held wait-and-watch stance.
In South China, mainstream prices at the starting of last week stood in the 2850 – 2950 RMB/MT range. As the weekend approached acetic acid market, kept calm as a whole, with prices pegged flat at 2950 – 3050 RMB/MT. It's heard that, all producers are offering above 3000 RMB/MT, while downstream buyers showing moderate interest only made few purchase.
Export prices are quoted at US $565 – 620 $/MT FOB China main port.
