Caustic Soda lines and PVC plant taken off-stream by Asahimas

PT Asahimas Chemical, Indonesia has taken off-stream two of its caustic soda lines along with a PVC plant. The company operates a PVC plant and a caustic soda plant with three lines at Cilegon in West Java, Indonesia with production capacities of 285,000 mt/year and 370,000 mt/year respectively.
The PVC plant and No.2 and No.3 lines at the caustic soda plant have been taken off-stream for a scheduled maintenance on October 19. The units will be on-stream again on November 13. Though, during the shutdown, the No.1 line at the caustic soda plant will be running at full capacity rates.
