Leverkusen based leather chemical maker LANXESS Distribution GmbH will transfer responsibility for order acceptance and processing and invoicing for the Europe-wide distribution of leather chemicals to LANXESS Srl – sole partner – in Italy.
Frank Paus, Head of Marketing & Sales in the Leather Business Unit stated that significant changes in the market conditions across Europe, the desire to further improve efficiency, effectiveness and flexibility and, last but not least, enormous cost pressure have led us to streamline their European organization.
He added that their marketing activities – including the work of our experienced external sales force – and our central warehouse in Hürth near Cologne will be unaffected.
LANXESS is one of the few suppliers in the leather industry to supply all the products needed in leather manufacture – including inorganic and synthetic tanning materials, preservatives and fatliquoring agents, dyestuffs and tanning and finishing auxiliaries.
