Intex South Asia 2017 is the largest and the only international textile sourcing show in South Asia. It will be a three day affair. Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is expected to inaugurate the event.
This third edition of the show will see the presence of more than 200 exhibitors from 15 countries viz. India, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Thailand, China, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Indonesia, Singapore, Bangladesh, Switzerland, Australia, and the US. Of these, Turkey and Switzerland will be attending the show for the first time.
Buyers from Bangladesh, Nigeria, UK, Italy, India, Hong Kong, Spain, Germany, Austria, Australia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Nepal, Dubai, Pakistan, Uganda and many more have registered to attend this event.
The’ Fashion Fiesta’ will feature the exclusive networking reception for buyers from South Asia and other regions. It is being introduced for the first time in Intex South Asia this year. The fiesta will include a fashion show where renowned companies from Taiwan, in association with the Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF), will focus on the transformation of contemporary collection of garments in innovative textiles.
The Woolmark Company, the official innovation partner of Intex South Asia 2017, will give a presentation on ‘Merino Wool’s luxury meets innovation’, whereas WGSN will make a presentation on ‘Fashion trends and forecast for Autumn-winter 18-19 collection’. (VM)
