The Gifts & Premiums zone focuses on advertising premiums, corporate gifts and costume jewellery and accessories. The show also includes sections for Home Living items, Home Tech & Electronic Gifts and the Fun & Play zone, featuring toys and sporting goods, as well as festive and party items. Buyers will appreciate the Designers' Corner for creative design services, as well as the green gifts and houseware zone, which focuses on eco-friendly gifts, houseware items, energy-efficient appliances and gifts made from recycled material.
Mr Chau said that Hong Kong is among the world's major export centres for houseware, gifts and toys, noting that the annual HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair, the HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair and the HKTDC Hong Kong Houseware Fair are top international sourcing events. “The Summer Sourcing Show offers buyers from around the world additional opportunities to source quality products, strengthening Hong Kong's role as the hub for these products,” he said.
Market trends will be in the spotlight at a forum tomorrow. Industry players from Hong Kong will discuss procurement of corporate gifts and market analysis from an online group-buying perspective. A 6 July seminar, “Beyond the New Toy Safety Directives,” looks at the European Union and United States and the impact of Supplement VII of the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement between Hong Kong and the mainland.
