On Thursday October 5, 2011 the Portland Fashion Week runway will once again light up with emerging talents. These designers gain a boost in exposure while also competing for the winning title and a prize package to include a free, full-collection runway show in the regular designer lineup at Portland Fashion Week 2012, a spread in Portland Monthly Magazine and yearlong showroom service from Showroom International.
Designers interested in the competition are required to appear for an audition on August 28 to qualify for selection in the Oct 5 runway show competition, where one award winner will be chosen.
On the same afternoon, Aug 28, open calls will be held for female and male models to participate in the runway shows of Portland Fashion Week, October 5-8, 2011. In PFW 2011, models will be walking for some of the most extraordinary designers such as, Anna Cohen (Vogue, Elle France, WWD), Seth Aaron (Project Runway winner), Michael Costello (Project Runway All Star), Jay Sario (Project Runway finalist), Ethos Paris, Earthtec and more.
Also in PFW 2011 attendance will be the President of world known tradeshow Designers&Agents, the CEO of Earthtek, major apparel companies, leading fashion editors and some large business personalities and influencers.
