The textiles and fashion expo – SYRIAMODA Fair, held in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, has succeeded in drawing attention of entrepreneurs and businessmen from Ukraine and Syria.
The event helped over 48 Syrian textile and fashion firms to get in direct touch with entrepreneurs and buyers from Ukraine and other nearby markets, thus leading the way for collaborating with importers and exploring new markets for firms with specialization in textiles, apparels, men and women fashion, bedcovers and lingerie.
Mohammad Hammoud, Director of General Establishment of Fairs revealed that the fair was the first of its kind to be organized by Syria in the region. The Fair was organized as a part of the 'Made in Syria' project.
Mr. Hammoud said the growth of Syrian textile industry either in terms of quality or diversifying to new markets, will enhance the confidence of the country's industry.
