Business at Canton textile fair posts double digit growth

Textiles and clothing are among China's export products being affected by international market situation. At the just concluded 110th Canton Fair, trade volume of textile and garment exports reached over US $1 billion, representing an increase of 11.52 percent.

Textile and garment exhibitors focused on characteristics such as optimizing product structure, displaying industrial restructuring and upgrading product quality, a considerable part of the products showed innovation and improvement.

Textile and clothing exhibitors at the fair strengthened their R & D and design capabilities, enhanced value-added products, introduced new products and new materials to improve their bargaining power with foreign buyers.

These were the main reasons for business at the fair recording growth in double digits.
