The Handicraft and rural sector in India is predominantly concentrated in Cottage and Small Scale Sector located at village, kasba and district level all other India. India is a vast country. It is physically and economically not possible for craft persons, artisans and producers to base themselves in metropolitan cities and also to travel overseas to promote their products. The foreign buyers interested in sourcing handicraft from India have, therefore, to travel all over the country.
