Suits:
The new Autumn/Winter season favoured slightly heavier looking fabrics in Serge, Saxony and Flannels in Pure New Wool or wool mixed with cashmere.

Piece dyed plains were not evident but instead mélanges which had discrete different coloured chalk stripes were used, from small designs up to window-checks and including a range of fancy-design checks.

Styling for suits was single breasted, mainly 2-button with smaller lapels and centre back vents, with flat fronted trousers and less use of turn-ups/cuffs, along with elegant and refined suits with typical Neapolitan tailoring. The new colouration was predominantly ranges of mid-tone mélanges, but there was also a good offer on 'lively' mélange darks.

Sports Jackets:
The overall look was a typical woollen look, but not heavy. The touch was still very soft, often in wool/cashmere blends, sometimes in cotton/cashmere blends. The main fabric designs were Donegal, Herringbone, Oxford checks and new multicoloured checks. To underline the casual look, a lot of ranges offered un-constructed and un-lined jackets.

Innovation in finishes and colouration techniques were seen through garment dyed and garment washed jackets also in PNW. There was also an interesting offer on jackets with an indoor/outdoor function achieved using cotton or quilted man made fibres or knitted trimmings.

The styling was again single breasted, mainly 2-buttons, often with leather trimmings, patch pockets and smaller lapels. The colour palette ranged from winter pastels to mid-tone Autumn foliage colours.
