Exotic bridal wear collections were showcased at the three-day ‘Bridal Mantra 2012’, the opulent saga of exotic Indian bridal couture, held in southern Indian city of Chennai.

All kinds of ensembles that an Indian bride proudly adorns herself with, on the most auspicious and important ceremony of her life, were on display at the bridal fashion extravaganza.

Apart from exotic collections of lehangas, churidars and sarees there was also a vivid display of brightly coloured South Indian pavadai-dhavani creations.

The top bridal wear designers from Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata and Ahmedabad presented their latest trends, textiles, silhouettes and shades at the fashion event.

Onlookers were dazzled to see the intricately-embroidered Moghul collection by the Ahmedabad-based Studio Virtues, simple-yet-graceful designs by Ritu Kumar, glittery bridal outfits by Falguni and Shane Peacock and the lavish swathes from Ecru.

The second edition of the fashion and wedding guide ‘Bridal Mantra Magazine’ was also launched at the event. The next edition of ‘Bridal Mantra’ will be held in Singapore, where designers like Raghvendra Rathore and Nikasha are scheduled to participate.
