Fourth World Eco-fiber and Textile Forum (WETF) will be organized in May 2006, at Kuching, capital of Sarawak in Eastern Malaysia.
This three-day exhibition is co-organized by Society Atelier and Sarawak Craft Council featuring works of over 300 weavers, artisans, scholars and collectors.
Its theme 'Textile Traditions Today' aims to promote, share and acquire knowledge on the use of natural fibers and dyes.
Forum will encourage the use of natural, sustainable material in the creation of arts and crafts as well as conserve the traditional works.
A fashion show and International Textile Exhibition/Bazaar will also be held concurrently, sources informed.
