The body hugging white mini dress, worn by the famous American actress Sharon Stone in the erotic thriller movie ‘Basic Instinct’ is on display at the ongoing cinematic garb exhibition 'Hollywood Costume' in London’s Victoria and Albert Museum.

Other than Sharon’s sexy outfit, the event also exhibits the popular English actress and model Keira Knightley’s iconic purple silk gown featured in her recently released period movie Anna Karenina.

The cinematic exhibition showcases more than hundred most iconic American movie costumes from across a century of film-making.

It also highlights the pivotal role costume designing plays in cinema storytelling.

The show is a three-gallery journey from early Charlie Chaplin silent pictures to the motion capture costume design for Avatar (Deborah L. Scott, Mayes C. Rubeo, 2010) and John Carter (Mayes C. Rubeo, 2012). The exhibition spans a wide range of films including ‘Fight Club’, ‘The Addams Family’ and ‘Star Wars’. The event would run till January 27, 2013.
