There is huge demand for Pakistani home textile, cottage and small industrial products, not only in India, but across the world, Federation of Pakistani Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) President Haji Fazal Kadir Khan Sherani said at the 32nd India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2012 in New Delhi.

Inaugurating the Pakistani pavilion at the fair that would be open till November 27, Pakistan High Commissioner in India Salman Bashir said Pakistani entrepreneurs have set up over 176 stalls at IITF, which is the highest so far.

Calling Pakistan’s participation in the fair as a welcome move, Mr. Bashir said it indicates that Pakistani businesses are ready to explore business and trade opportunities with India.

He said the IITF has provided Pakistani businesses an opportunity for collaborating with their Indian counterparts and added that there has been a slow but significant improvement in trade and economic relations between the two nations.
