340 models dressed in fashion from Denmark and Hong Kong will on Sunday, December 9 stroll down a 3 km. long runway in Hong Kong. The mega event is collaboration between Danish Fashion Institute and Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association and will set a new world record in catwalk.

With the impressive Hong Kong skyline as backdrop, the show will be a blast for an audience of half a million people and the world press. The record-setting fashion show kicks off at the Tsim Sha Tsui promenade, where half of the models will be dressed in fashion from Danish brands and the other half in fashion from Hong Kong – the two groups will meet at the center of the runway.

Says Eva Kruse, CEO of Danish Fashion Institute, on this immense fashion event:
“World's Greatest Catwalk will be a fantastic cultural meeting between East and West. A festive fireworks display of the best designs by Danish and Hong Kong designers before the eyes of hundreds of thousands of spectators. The catwalk will pinpoint Denmark and Hong Kong as two leading destinations within fashion in Asia and Europe.”

As early as August 2010, Danish Fashion Institute hosted a similar event in Copenhagen, where 220 models walked down a 1.6 kilometer-long runway. Several records have since been set, so to beat the competition, this catwalk will be 3 km long.
