The coming of age Muslim fashion was evident at the recently concluded Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW), which gave viewers an interesting insight into the progressive creations by the cutting-edge Islamic fashion designers of Indonesia.

A range of innovative clothing that highlighted modern creativity as well as religious modesty at the same time was showcased on the eighth day of JFW, which was devoted entirely to Muslim fashion.

Indonesian designers like Itang Yunasz, Irna Mutiara, Monika Jufry and Ronald V Gaghana presented their eclectic mix of trendy apparel collections inspired by Islamic sensibilities.

The featured innovative ensembles included beautiful headscarves (Hijabs), long flowy dresses, loose floral tops and silk pants in canary yellow, bright red, classic black and pristine white.

Indonesian Muslim fashion has a huge demand among Islamic populations residing in countries like Malaysia, Thailand, France, Turkey and Britain.
