In tune with the pulsating beats of fashion fever, which has engulfed the entire world in this non-stop party season, Gambia, the smallest country on the African continent, gloriously hosted its glitzy high on glamour international modelling competition Face of Fashion4Africa Gambia 2012 in the Senegambia Confederation.

Nyanya Gaye and Ibrahim Ceesay, winners in the female and male categories, respectively, will now have the coveted opportunity to catwalk at the forthcoming prestigious London Fashion week 2013, according to Daily Observer.

Organized by the Face of Fashion4Africa founder Anna Njie, the competition saw 23 contestants from 5 different countries, including Gambia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Nigeria and Senegal.

UK-based and Nigeria born fashion designer Grace Iwobi, whose latest creations from his Uchenna London label were being donned by the participants of the show, featured an eclectic mix of African, Asian and European ethos in his designs.

In addition to Grace Iwobi, other designers like Maureen Amooti from Moryn Designs, Racheal Kisti as well as Dzaina Designs, owned by Zaina Ahmed, also presented their exclusive ensembles at the event.
