The growing acceptance and appreciation of real curvaceous women can be judged from the fact that increasing number of high-profile international runways are holding events solely dedicated to plus-size clothing.

Following the trend, London – the global fashion capital – is all set to celebrate fuller figured women by hosting its first-ever official plus-size fashion show on 15th and 16th February, 2013.

Organized by Trapped in a Skinny World fashion boutique and plus size fashion magazine Evolve Media, the event titled London Plus-Size Fashion Weekend (LPSFW) will showcase a range of apparel collections by several local and international designers as well as retailers.

At the event, 27-year-old London-based curvy clothing designer Syreeta Badu will showcase her new 10-piece collection called Concrete Rose. The line with a dash of African influence will feature multi-coloured panelling to highlight curves.

Another exclusive catwalk presentation, sponsored by popular plus-size clothing brand Simply Be, will demonstrate latest fashion trends designed by American and European designers at the event.

Other than the stylized runway presentations, panel discussions, style masterclasses and plus-size clothing marketplace will also be organized on the sidelines of LPSFW, which is scheduled to run parallel with London Fashion Week 2013.
